AEGEE (Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l’Europe / European Students’ Forum) is a student organisation that promotes cooperation, communication and integration amongst young people in Europe.

As a non-governmental, politically independent, and non-profit organisation AEGEE is open to students and young people from all faculties and disciplines.

ORGANISATION CHART

 

President

The President convokes the Local Board's meetings and chairs them. He or she is responsible for the medium to long-term strategy followed by AEGEE-London and its implementation. The President is responsible for the timely submission of Activity Plans and Activity Reports together with the Foreign Relations Officer and the Secretary.

The President is co-responsible with the Treasurer for the financial management of the association’s funds. The President represents AEGEE-London in meetings with other associations or organizations and communicates with universities as well as other organisations.

 

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for distributing the agenda before meetings to members and board members as well as taking minutes and making them available thereafter. The Secretary archives all documentation of AEGEE-London and takes care of the general email account by redirecting emails to the relevant board members. The Secretary ensures AEGEE-London fulfills the Antenna Criteria. The Secretary regularly informs the members about the AEGEE-London’s activities and board meetings through the Googlegroup and other appropriate means.

 

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for the financial management of the association in accordance with national laws and bookkeeping regulations. The Treasurer is a signatory to AEGEE-London’s bank account and regularly reports to Local Board and members about the account. He or she is also responsible for the timely submission of the Financial Report. The Treasurer helps and supports the Fundraising Officer in his work and is also responsible for the timely payment of membership fees during the Agora and to other organisations if applicable.

 

Fundraising Officer

The Fundraising Officer collaborates with the Treasurer and looks for potential fundraising opportunities for AEGEE-London. He/she is responsible for finding donors and communicates with potential sponsors of AEGEE-London.

 

Public Relations Officer

The Public Relations Officer promotes AEGEE-London and its activities through all communication channels, such as the Facebook page, the Facebook group and Twitter. He/she communicates events and activities to the public and members through these channels in advance as well as promotes AEGEE-London in general e.g. through covering past events on Facebook and Twitter.

The PR compiles events and opportunities relevant for members and posts these on the Facebook page and group.   

 

IT and Design Officer

The IT and Design Officer maintains AEGEE-London’s website and works closely together with the PR in keeping the website up to date with activities and events. He or she is responsible for developing the designs of posters and the like that serve to promote the association and future events.

 

Foreign Relations Officer

The Foreign Relations Officer manages the communication with other AEGEE antennae or foreign organisations on exchanges, projects and the like based on that there is an agreement in the Board that these are to be pursued. He/she is responsible for communicating with the central AEGEE organisation as well as European institutions.

 

Human Resources Officer

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for all membership issues, including welcoming new members and adding them to all of AEGEE-London’s communication channels. The HR Officer maintains the membership database on the intranet as well as AEGEE-London’s internal membership list and replies to membership queries. The HR Officer tries to encourage passive members to become more active.

 

Local Events Coordinator

The Local Events Coordinator organises and proposes local social and academic events. He or she is in contact with local stakeholders, universities and organisations for this purpose.
